American Appraisal’s independent valuation of Estro Groep BV leads to a successful restructuring of its leveraged loan facilities.
American Appraisal has advised the coordinating committee of the lending syndicate consisting of ING Bank N.V., Société Générale and The Carlyle Group on the enterprise value of Estro Groep BV, the largest childcare provider in the Netherlands. Our independent valuation helped lead to the successful restructuring of Estro’s €280 million loan facilities and leveraged finance debt. The restructuring was consensual, following the launch of two English law Schemes of Arrangement (which did not proceed to sanction as the restructuring was completed consensually prior to the sanction hearing).
American Appraisal’s team was led by Mike Weaver, Managing Director in the UK’s Restructuring and Recovery Valuation Services team, and Joachim Schulz, Managing Director in the Benelux Restructuring and Recovery Valuation Services team. Supporting the team were directors Simon Jones (UK) and Marc Brouwers (Netherlands), along with senior manager Rishi Shah (UK).
Of the transaction, Mike Weaver said, “This restructuring for Estro Groep is highly significant and illustrates the importance of an independent valuation in the restructuring process. We are pleased to have worked alongside the coordinating committee to help deliver a consensual restructuring of the leveraged loan facilities.”
The deal strengthens American Appraisal’s position as a market-leading restructuring-related valuation advisor in Europe.
